Instead of using plastic bags, take your own bag when you go grocery shopping.
Turn off the tap when shaving or brushing your teeth. You can also save the water that you use to wash the vegetables and use it to water your plants.
Use rechargeable batteries and stop using disposable products like paper plates, cups, forks and knives.
Use energy efficient appliances in your home.
Try using a bicycle for trips to the nearby store or to friends’ places or walking instead of driving. It’s good for your health and it’s green. You could also invest in a hybrid vehicle for the school runs and such.
You could also invest in solar panels to power at least the lights in your home. This would drastically cut down your electricity bill and help the environment a lot.
